Maria Halwadjian

Maria Halwadjian

In the summer of 2022, Maria had the privilege of serving as a judicial extern at the United States District Court for the Central District of California, where she gained valuable exposure to both civil and criminal legal procedures and principles.

Building upon this fulfilling experience, she pursued a subsequent judicial externship at the Van Nuys Immigration Court in the summer of 2023, further deepening her understanding of immigration law and its application within the judicial system.

During her second and third year at Southwestern Law School, Maria also served as a law clerk at the Immigration Legal Clinic on campus, where she gained practical experience, such as preparing immigration applications for clients to be filed with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. Maria’s commitment to legal scholarship was further demonstrated through her role as a Staff Editor for the Southwestern Journal of International Law, where she received several Bluebook Awards for legal citation. Maria was admitted to the California State Bar in November 2024, and is now a proud member of Lawyers for Justice, P.C., where she is dedicated to representing the rights of California employees in wage-and-hour disputes.
